Questions
The things people ask before their first session, and a few they ask after.
A professional organizer is someone who helps you overcome clutter and disorganization to make your life less stressful and your time more efficient. We don't just tidy up, we help you make decisions and build systems that hold.
A professional organizer doesn't just help you organize your space, they create easy-to-follow systems that help keep it that way. We're there to help you through the entire process, or to get hands-on and do the work ourselves: sorting, filing, decluttering and de-stressing to help make your home a better place to live.
More time, less stress, and knowing where everything is. Your environment plays a real part in your attitude, outlook and even stress levels, so when it's organized, clean and easy to navigate, life feels simpler. You also save money by knowing what you own, finding it when you need it, and avoiding duplicate purchases.
We serve the Greater Austin area, including Austin, Bee Cave, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Lakeway, Leander, Liberty Hill, Llano, Pflugerville, Rolling Hills, San Marcos, Tarrytown and West Lake Hills.
It's entirely up to you. If you don't want to touch a thing, you don't have to. But if you or anyone else wants to help, it gets the job done faster, and in the end, saves you money.
Book a consultation and tell us what needs to be addressed, what rooms or areas you'd like organized, and any other details you'd like to include. We'll walk through the space together, give you an estimate, and then work with you to select and reserve your organizing dates.
Yes, and they make a genuinely useful gift. One thing we ask first: please make sure the person receiving it has agreed to it. Organizing is personal work and it only goes well when the recipient actually wants the help, so a surprise certificate can land as a criticism rather than a kindness. Reach out and we'll talk through what would suit them.
It's entirely up to you. If you don't want to touch a thing, you don't have to. But if you or anyone else wants to help, it gets the job done faster, and in the end, saves you money.
That's okay! There's a minimum of 3 hours for each project.
Not at all. This isn't about minimalism for its own sake. We help you decide what actually serves your life, sentimental items included, and build a system around that.
We help sort donations, coordinate drop-off, and can help identify items that may have resale value, so nothing meaningful just ends up in a landfill by default. We take donations away after the session, subject to our donation-removal policy.
Yes, regularly. We have experience supporting clients with ADHD, autism spectrum needs, MS and other life or health transitions, and we tailor the approach to how you actually think and work. We also offer a dedicated Organizing for Neurodivergent People service if that's the main thing you're looking for.
We work in garages during the cooler months. Central Texas summers make garage work genuinely unsafe for long stretches, so we'll schedule it for a time of year when we can do it properly.
The earlier the better, ideally a few weeks out. That gives us time to declutter before packing, which reduces what you move and makes unpacking dramatically faster.
Yes. Plenty of clients handle the move itself and bring us in afterward to unpack and set up the new home so everything has a place from day one.
We do. We can work alongside your moving company and other home service professionals so the pieces line up.
Yes. Senior downsizing and rightsizing is regular work for us, and we move at a pace that respects the emotional weight of it.
That's set around your household. Some clients do a seasonal reset four times a year, others prefer monthly upkeep on the spaces that drift fastest.
Usually, yes. Declutter Bee+ is designed to maintain systems we've built together, so we know how your space is meant to work.
Then we change it. A system that doesn't match how your household actually lives isn't a failure on your part, it's information, and maintenance visits are the natural time to adjust it.
Off-site paper organizing is priced per Bankers Box, with files included. We'll confirm the details at your consultation.
Sorting paper means handling personal information, and all of it is confidential. Meetings, conversations and documents stay between you and your organizer.
We separate what needs shredding from what needs keeping, and set up a simple retention approach so you're not storing decades of statements you'll never need.
Body doubling means working alongside someone so the task is easier to start and stay with. Yes, it's a regular part of how we work, and for many clients it's the single most useful piece.
No. You make every call. We help you get unstuck on the hard ones and we won't pressure you to part with anything you're not ready to let go of.
That's the most common thing we hear, and it usually means the system didn't match how you actually live. Systems that fail aren't evidence about you, they're information about the system.
No. There's nothing to clean or sort in advance, and there's nothing we haven't seen. We start exactly where you are.
Many women experience changes in sleep, energy, concentration and memory during the menopause transition. At the same time, midlife often comes with demanding careers, family responsibilities, aging parents, children leaving home and years of accumulated belongings. We don't diagnose what is causing the overwhelm. We help reduce what your home requires you to manage.
Yes. We can help you declutter, organize and simplify the areas creating the most stress, from closets and kitchens to paperwork, storage spaces and whole-home projects. You don't have to tackle everything at once. We start where help will make the biggest difference.
You don't have to make permanent decisions about every piece of clothing. We can help you separate what works now, what you'd like to reconsider later and what you're ready to release, so your everyday wardrobe is easier to see and use.
Absolutely. Becoming an empty nester can be both exciting and emotional. We can help you sort through children's belongings, paperwork, keepsakes and household items while giving you time and space to decide what matters.
That's one of the most common reasons people call us. You don't need a plan before your consultation. We'll look at what's happening in your home, talk about what's frustrating you most and develop an approach that feels manageable.
No. Decluttering isn't about getting rid of everything. It's about making intentional decisions about what deserves space in your home and your life. You always have the final say.
Ask it on the consultation. There's no obligation and nothing to prepare.
